A spiral wound gasket is a semi-metallic gasket made from a spirally wound metal strip and a soft filler, usually with inner and outer guide rings. Flexitallic invented the design in 1912 and it remains the industry standard for pipework, valves and exchangers under ASME B16.20.
The Change gasket is Flexitallic’s kammprofile (camprofile) gasket – a serrated solid-metal core faced with a soft sealing layer. It offers excellent recovery, low seating stress and reusability, making it ideal for heat exchangers and critical flanges.
