[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Our Riser Gimbal provides support for riser strings up to 1000MT. The gimbaling action is performed by six elastomeric bearing evenly distributed around the perimeter of the bottom and top plate. The design can be split where it is opened or closed utilizing hydraulic cylinders for hanging off made up riser or casing strings or in a closed system used to run riser strings. The Gimbal provides shock absorption and a gimbaling action up to 5 degrees in any direction. The Gimbal’s design provides more protection on the riser string as the position of our elastomeric bearings provide a lower shear stiffness with the moment of rotation being one of the lowest in the industry. This results in a low bending moment on the riser string being supported by the gimbal which further translates to less fatigue damage to the riser. Our Gimbal can be provided with adapters so that various other casing or drilling strings can be suspended. When the gimbal is utilized to hang-off strings it is commonly referred to as a “trip saver” where the vessel can be moved while the string is suspended saving significant time without having to trip the riser string, lay it down and run it back down to the seabed.
Alongside our riser gimbal system, we provide additional equipment. This includes heave compensation solutions and motion compensated coiled tubing lift frames (CCTLF).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
